Replacing a Tail Light

Is replacing difficult? In practice, it turns out to be quite manageable. Do you have an existing Aspöck, Radex, Geka, or Jokon wiring harness under the trailer? How Our Filter Function Works

Werkenbijlicht has a very large assortment of round tail lights. To make a suitable choice from these lights, a filter function has been created in our webshop. Below is an explanation of how the filters should be used.

LED or Bulb

Bulb lighting is a more classical form of lighting. This lighting is cheaper and is still widely used on older vehicles. LED is a more modern way of lighting. LED is more expensive to purchase, however, LED lasts longer and has a much higher light output. LED is a more sustainable solution and definitely pays off in the long run.

Voltage

Nearly all tail lights are suitable for 12 volts and 24 volts. They provide full light output at both voltages. Thus, they do not burn brighter at 24 volts. Most vehicles operate on 12 volts. A truck trailer is an example of a vehicle that requires a 24-volt tail light.

Side of Tail Light

Some tail lights are specific for one side. When you choose left + right, you can select either the left or right variant of the lamp when ordering the product. Universal lamps can be used for either side.

Light Functions

The tail lights from Werkenbijlicht are multifunctionally usable. Many tail lights feature multiple functionalities, eliminating the need for multiple lamps on the vehicle. In the filter, you can select the light functions you would like to have on the tail light. Only the tail lights that meet the criteria set in the filter will be shown.

Connection

Most round tail lights are supplied with a cable, often 0.5 - 2m long. However, some round tail lights come with a built-in connector. You may encounter the following connectors: 5-pin bayonet, 8-pin bayonet, and the 7-pin AMP connector.

Mounting

Our round tail lights can sometimes be built-in or surface-mounted. There are also lamps that can be both built-in and surface-mounted, making them universal. All hamburger tail lights are universally mountable.

Dimensions

When mounting the tail lights, the dimensions are very important. With round tail lights, we look at two different dimensions, namely the diameter and the bolt distance. By measuring your old tail light, you can determine the size you need. This way, you can be sure that the tail light is suitable.
